Spiti Valley Circuit – 8 Days / 7 Nights

Your journey begins from Chandigarh as you drive through the scenic Himalayan roads towards Narkanda. The route offers stunning views of pine forests, apple orchards, and small mountain villages. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax. In the evening, you can visit Hatu Peak to witness a mesmerizing sunset over the snow-covered mountains.

After breakfast, drive towards the beautiful Sangla Valley in Kinnaur district. En route, you can stop at Sarahan to visit the famous Bhimakali Temple. Continue your drive along winding mountain roads, crossing rivers and forests. Reach Sangla by evening and spend some leisure time by the Baspa River.

Today, after breakfast, head for an excursion to Chitkul, the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibet border. Enjoy the fresh mountain air, scenic landscapes, and wooden Himalayan houses that give Chitkul a fairytale charm. Later, return to Sangla and spend a relaxed evening exploring the local area.

Start early for a long yet scenic drive towards Tabo. En route, pass through Reckong Peo and Nako Village. Stop at Nako Lake and the ancient Nako Monastery for a short break. By evening, reach Tabo, home to the 1,000-year-old Tabo Monastery, also known as the “Ajanta of the Himalayas.”

After breakfast, begin your journey to Kaza, the heart of Spiti Valley. Visit the ancient Dhankar Monastery and the beautiful Dhankar Lake on the way. Reach Kaza by afternoon and explore the local market or simply relax amid the peaceful surroundings.

Today, explore the best of Spiti Valley. Visit the iconic Key Monastery, followed by Kibber Village, one of the highest villages in the world. Continue to Langza, Hikkim, and Komic, known for their stunning views, fossil grounds, and high-altitude beauty. Return to Kaza by evening after a day full of exploration.

Early in the morning, depart from Kaza and drive towards Kalpa via Nako and Reckong Peo. The journey offers mesmerizing mountain views throughout. Upon arrival in Kalpa, enjoy the breathtaking sights of the Kinner Kailash range glowing under the evening sun.

After breakfast, start your return journey to Chandigarh. Drive through scenic valleys, crossing Rampur, Narkanda, and Shimla on your way back. Reach Chandigarh by evening, concluding your unforgettable 8-day Spiti Valley adventure filled with natural beauty, spirituality, and Himalayan charm.
